Multimedia systems combine multiple forms of digital information content - text, graphics, image, video, sound and animation and require learners to integrate conceptual knowledge with practical production, design, evaluation and communication skills. The course therefore requires learners to move beyond explaining multimedia concepts to demonstrating the ability to select tools, create media assets, integrate media, develop and test a multimedia product, evaluate its quality, and address legal, ethical, privacy, security, cultural and societal considerations.
Course Aim:
To develop learners' competence to analyse, plan, create, integrate, test, evaluate and present multimedia systems and applications using appropriate hardware, software, design principles and ethical practices.
